The Solar Plexus Chakra
THE SOLAR PLEXUS OR MANIPURA CHAKRA, IS LOCATED AT THE CENTER OF THE BODY, THIS IS THE ENERGY CENTER FOR INDIVIDUALIZATION, PERSONAL POWER, FIRE AND WILL.
The emotional connection in this chakra are sense of purpose, self-worth, self-respect, adequacy, boundaries, ability to process and transform.
The element of this chakra is fire and processing.
The color is Yellow.
This Chakra is the energy of power, fire and digestion. This power chakra is where we experience our sense of self-worth, when we feel undervalued or weak we can feel nauseous or like “butterflies in the stomach”. This is the center where we gain the ability to set strong healthy boundaries based and a strong sense of self and purpose. This is also the area where we can take our desires (from the first two chakras) and have the will to make them come to fruition. But before this can happen there are foundation things that must be in place.
”The foundation for a women’s sense of herself, her self-esteem (3rd chakra), is formed by her sense of security and safety in the world (1st chakra) combined with the quality of her relationships, especially in the area of money, sex and power (2nd chakra). If we feel safe and secure and have supportive relationships that help us secure resources and power, we will be in a good position to achieve our goals in the outer world and to complete tasks that help us develop a good sense of self-esteem and self-worth.” Dr. Christian Northrup
In Chinese medicine this is known as the area of CHI and JING energy - the energies of life force and life essence. The strength of these energies as well as the digestive fire will determine the strength of your physical and emotional digestion as well. The feelings of overwhelmed when emotions become too big, butterflies out of seemingly nowhere or an inability to digest, digestive issues.
